Garden City, New York
Established in 1947, our ten-acre campus is located in suburban Garden City, New York.
In addition to classrooms and offices, the buildings house a cafeteria, gym with stage, eurythmy room with stage, science labs, art studios and music rooms.
Playgrounds, gardens and playing fields are bordered by a wooded “Nature Trail” which provides a visual and environmental boundary from the suburban houses and university buildings which surround us. The Nursery through Twelfth Grade curriculum is supplemented by a number of auxiliary programs, including the Parent-Child Program, a summer day camp and extended-day program in Garden City, and our 250-acre extension campus and farm located in Marlborough, New Hampshire.
The Waldorf School of Garden City is an independent college preparatory day school for children in Nursery through Twelfth Grade. Directly adjacent to Adelphi University, high school students are able to earn college credit through our unique partnership with Adelphi. The community is economically, geographically and culturally diverse. We have active involvement from the alumni and parent communities, who provide both financial and volunteer support for our School.
