Charlene Brew
Charlene Brew ’15 lights up a room. As president of the student council, Charlene was an exemplary role model both for her peers as well as our younger students. Her poise, understated confidence and approachability made her a natural leader. In addition to her large presence at the Waldorf School of Garden City, Charlene is also a gifted ballet dancer. She has danced for fifteen years and has been awarded full scholarships to the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater Summer Intensive program. Her acting skills were also put to the test while beautifully portraying Mary in the Senior Class production of It’s a Wonderful Life. Her academic interests tie in well with dance, as she is very curious about how the body works. As a result, her interest in biology and physiology has directed her to pursue medicine in the future. She has begun this journey as a pre-med student at Tufts University in Medford, MA.
