<img class=”aligncenter wp-image-27099 size-large” src=”https://www.waldorfgarden.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/mia-ver-pault-1024×683.jpg” alt=”” width=”1024″ height=”683″ /><span style=”color: #000000;”>Congratulations to Senior Mia VerPault who recently performed with the diocesan choir for the Episcopal Diocese of Long Island, and served as the soloist during the 153<sup>rd</sup> annual convention for the diocese. The diocese includes Kings, Queens, Nassau, and Suffolk counties, and the choir consists of members from all four regions.</span>
<span style=”color: #000000;”>During the convention, Mia and a friend were also chosen to speak as representatives of the diocese’s Youth and Young Adult Ministry. They gave a presentation to approximately 500 people from the United States, Canada, Central, and South America</span><span style=”color: #1f497d;”><span style=”color: #000000;”>, about</span></span> <span style=”color: #000000;”>the</span> <span style=”color: #0000ff;”><a style=”color: #0000ff;” href=”https://www.waldorfgarden.org/waldorf-watch-freshman-mia-ver-pault-participate-leadership-conference/” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener”>Episcopal Youth Event (EYE) that they attended in 2017.</a></span><span style=”color: #1f497d;”> <span style=”color: #000000;”>They </span></span><span style=”color: #000000;”>explained how it inspired them to continue to pursue activism in their communities and they encouraged students to participate in EYE 2020. We are proud of Mia for sharing her experience of service and helping to connect others to worthwhile causes.</span>
